About Dr. BASSO

Dr. Tracy Basso was born to be a podiatrist. Growing up with a podiatrist father and uncle, he was exposed to medical concepts at an early age and developed a strong interest in physiology. For Dr. Basso, it was a natural progression. He knew he wanted to be the doctor who delivers the most advanced care to patients who have chronic foot and ankle pain, and who may have given up hope for relief.

After earning his medical degree in Podiatric Medicine and Surgery at the California College of Podiatric Medicine in San Francisco, Dr. Basso pursued further advanced training, and today he is one of a small number of nerve surgeons worldwide specially trained in peripheral nerve decompression in the lower extremities. He is triple-board-certified by the American Board of Foot and Ankle Surgery, the American Board of Foot and Ankle Medicine, and the Association of Extremity Nerve Surgery.

Dr. Basso’s patients benefit from his specialist training in elective, reconstructive, and trauma surgery of the foot and ankle. He uses the latest technologies as he performs non-surgical and minimally invasive treatments of common foot and ankle conditions. Dr. Basso is interested in all areas of podiatric care for all ages of patients. His daily practice ranges from delivering conservative treatments, pain relief, and routine wound care to performing delicate surgeries that correct deformities or relieve neuropathy.

I take pride in successfully treating foot and ankle conditions that have not been resolved elsewhere.

Dr. Basso has lived in Davis, California for 17 years. He and his wife and five children love the community as a great place to raise a family. When he’s not immersed in solving foot and ankle medical problems, he likes to relax by cycling, hiking, reading, and traveling.
